more tranny fluid questions
I have a tranny cooler on my car do I need extra fluid to make up for it, or just stick to the levels on the dipstick? It was like maybe 1 X short of the top when I checked it after I left the car running for 4 min and backed it into my driveway.
I added like 100ml of fluid and now its up to the last X...Is it possible for that little amount I added to make that difference?
Should I keep it over fill? Since I have the tranny cooler, or really no difference? I read some places the tranny runs better overfill, and then I see somethings say its worse, because it can't cool as well when their is too much.
When I check the tranny fluid cold its overfill, but after its running for 3-5 min and I back it into my driveway the level is right at the top X.

Check tranny fluid at running temp. Honda does not require engine to be running to check level. So wait about 1 minute after shutting car off to check.
DO NOT OVERFILL unless you want to start replacing seals or worse.
Top line is good, a little less is better than a little more.
Please use only Honda ATF and do your car a favor.

Bump for you again.
About the tranny cooler. Fluid will be in the cooler and tranny. So the line is good either way.
Also if this is a 5-sp and you have a tranny cooler to it then use only Honda manual tranny fluid. It may cost a little more the auto **** I mean zone. But at least you are still doing your car the best favor you can.
I still recommend Honda fluid for all things. Coolant, brake, power steering, tranny, even the filters. Oil too but that is not as big of a deal as long as you stay away from Pennzoil.
