b18c1 in 96 civ

it cranks but won't turn, i'm not getting any spark. new cap,rotor ignitor plugs, wires. coil checked out okay vs helms.

main relay also checked out okay.

i'll turn the ignition, and just cranks away. when i pull the key out the dash lights stay lit!! its like i never pulled the key out. it will shut off once i pull the alt fuse from under dash or pull the battery cable off the terminal.

any ideas, i am at a lost.

 

So you are using an OBD2 engine harness and OBD2 distributor?

I would try to swap out your dizzy with a buddies.

 

Did you look to see if your harness ground is connected? Sounds like some kind of electrical problem.

i checked the motor ground, tranny ground, starter ground, therm ground, alternator...i'll check the harness, but i'm certain its grounded....i'll let ya know the status.

Try unplugging the 4 wire plug from your alt. and see what happens.

i pulled the alternator plug and the dash light remains on...the buzz i hear around the injectors remain as well...help!!!!!!!!!
