collar siezed on my coilovers , solutions?
After attempting to adjust the ride height on my car I noticed one of the locking collars on my rear passenger side coilover is siezed and will not budge. All my attempts to loosen the collar have failed and it is hard to get to since the rear brake rotor gets in the way as well as the exhaust piping to a degree. How would I fix this?
What kinda collar is it? Is it like the GC ones with the slot? because you could probably take the set screw out and stuff a big flat head in their. If you have the kind with two rings and that funky wrench you might have to take your suspension apart ot get better acess at it.

Try tapping at it with like a flathead screwdriver and hammer. Put cloth or something between one of the collar edges and teh screwdriver tip, then tap the screwdriver with the hammer. Its usually enough to get it to budge.
I recently had a similar problem, and wound up having to take the shocks off the car to get it loose. Big breaker bars on both spanner wrenches and loads of WD40 and it came loose fairly easily.
