Welded coolant passage on GSR head... safe?
Hi all,
I recently purchased a built head from a friend. On the intake side and to the right, a coolant passage has been welded as you can see in the pictures.

I was wondering if this was safe and the theory behind it. Also needed to know if i should just drill it out.
TIA

that isn't a god damn egr port. b18c doesn't have egr.
the point of doing this is stupidity. i have no idea why someone would restrict the amount of coolant going into the head.

NO DO NOT RUN YOUR MOTOR WITH THAT BLOCKED OFF!!!!!! as we all know the #3 cylinder tends to run hot. I have two friends that didnt run that hose to the thermostat and they BOTH melted the #3 piston at a event.
