knuckle comes w/ engine swap?
I had my lude on the host today and was looking it over when I noticed a slight hold in one of my "boots". I'm not a mechanic, but have a basic understanding of cars so here goes... It was the furthest boot on the front axel on the passenger side is leaking grease. I'm gonna fix this asap, but I wanted to know if the majorety of these come w/ a jdm h22a. I believe tha I can use my stock axels (mines a 92 s) and transmission, even though I'm going to get a new tranny cause the gear ratios, either way, should I fix this now, or should I wait until I do the engine swap, what do you guys think? Oh and if any of you guys know the terminalogy for these parts which I obviously don't, please tell me. Thanks!
You mean the boot on the axle furthest from the tranny? That's a CV boot. It can be a bitch to replace, so I'll give you the quick fix. Go to the parts store and get a CV boot that closes with some screws. Cut your old boot off, undo the two fasteners and put the new boot on. Put all but two of the screws in, use the two fasteners to tighten the boot on, fill the boot with grease, and then put the last two screws in. When you do the swap you'll have to pull the axles anyway, so you can replace the boots with factory parts then.
