Default Went to the Dyno

I organized a local dyno day for some friends around here. Figured i'd post up my graph and get some input on it. Can't really tell much from the graph because i did'nt change anything. Just baseline pulls. Numbers seemed a little low to me but overall the graph looks nice and i know that peak #'s don't really mean ****. 2001 Type R, J's Racing Intake, everything else stock. 105,000 miles.

I have more pics of the other cars that showed up but i dunno if i should post them or not because they're not "R related"

Nubmers aren't bad, but torque is definitely lacking.

I would say it is a good healthy engine - Any plans on adding anymore engine mods?

The torque seems to make it to the 100s and hold it steady, so that can't be bad.

What Rob said.

I wish I did a baseline run in my R when it was stock.

Sorry for my hasty reply then, I'm used to seeing higher torque numbers because I linger in the Prelude Forum H22/23.

If you are happy with the numbers, Congrats.

Well, of course i have a wish list of parts and things that i want done to the car but my lack of extra spending $$ is making me be more realistic at this point. I don't want to mod it out with a bunch of cheap crappy parts so it might take forever but everything done will be quality. For now i just wanna get a spare set of wheels with some good tires and some turn fast goodies. Engine wise right now, i just want to finish up the bolt ons and get a nice header/exhaust setup. Probably going with the toda/fuji setup cause i definatly want good power but something that's pretty quiet. At this point i just wanna hit up some tracks and get good at that before i look for much more power, also i want to be the first R to hit 200k (someones probably already done it)

It's in Salem. Just opened about 2 months ago actually. Should try it out next time your down here!

The SRT's were putting down some good #'s. One of the red ones is decently modded. Stage 2, emanage, exhaust, dp, intake. Putting right at 300 to the wheels. The others are mainly stock with intake/wg/bov mods. They were all putting between 230-250. I admit i don't like the styling on them and having driven the slower of the 2 red ones a lot, i can't stand the handling/feel of the car. But damn they are fast as hell, even stock!

Thanks for the comments guys, hopefully i can post another chart soon after some mods and put down some better #'s

What are the factory whp numbers for that year model. Because it seems to me those numbers were lagging just abit. I am running 199.7 whp at 8200 rpm and 207 at 8900 rpm with 146 torque at 8200 rpm. I am running nothing more than a few bolt ons all motor with vafc.

well if you're putting down close to 200 whp with nothing but bolt ons and a piggyback then, DAMN! Most people struggle getting 200 whp n/a on a c5 with top notch bolts ons, cams, higher compression and stand alone engine management. Of couse all dynos read differently depending upon brand, temperature, humidity, etc.

Well lets be exact about my bolts on they may have a little to do with my 207whp. I have aem fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge, halmeter, for better fuel tuning with the Apexi VAFC on the dyno, 4-2-1 DC header Apexi Cat back, AEM Intake, K&N Filter, Type R CPU that came with the motor from the factory. Accell comp pluge wires, LSD S80 Tranny, ACT Stage 3 Clutch. Still have cruise, AC, and power steering. No pulleys, no cam gears. Good fuel management, tuning (a lot of it), and some bolt ons and a piggy back system should push low 200whp.
