Default exhaust clearance/length question

i'm doin a mini me swap and was wondering which header to get, i mean in terms of year, i have a 96 y8 head (onto 1.5L block) so i was thinkin it would be the 96 one, but is there any specific one i should get, like a 2 piece design etc.. that would have the right clearance for the oil pan and all.
Also how much shorter is a crx's exhaust than a hatchback's, cuz i can get a catback 2 1/4" exhaust but its for a crx (i have a hatch) so i was thinking of extending it at a muffler shop, would that work? TIA

You can "massage" or grind away a piece of the front crossmember to make big 4-1 headers fit. Or, place racing and z10 make new front crossmembers that give clearence room for larger headers.
