strips in wheel wells cause rust?
i dont know if newer hondas have these cause i never own"newer" cars, but as for my 96 prelude, 90 civic, and my current 90 accord, they always rust out above the back wheels here in MN, like even 98s will be sportin some rust,
i heard i forgot where that the rubber-ish strips on the edge of the fenders inside the wheel well hold road salt in (we salt the roads here in the winter) and cause this nastyness. true? i have a friend that just ripped the strips out, there just kinda fit on and pull right off.

I take mine off in the summer and put them on in the winter. Reason why is because in the winter they throw alot of salt/rocks around my area and it will chip the paint in the wells then salt will lay in it causing rust. Summer time I just let them "air out". If you have them on all year round its not a bad idea to remove them and clean inside a few times a year. "I would also do this under mud flaps as well"
