Default 95 Accord VS 98 CL... Same car?

I have been curious about this for a while...

I have a 95 Accord 2-door EX. Someone else in my family has a 98 Acura 3.0 CL that I often drive...

Besides the obvious differences like the exteriors, and the drivetrains (amazingly smooth 3.0 liter Vtec), there are tons of similarities.

The door panels are almost exactly the same. Tons of switches and buttons are the exact same, as is most of the console. They are also really close in driving dynamics, minus a few differences. Noise levels are down in the Acura, bump dampening is slightly better, and body roll is slightly less. Overall, the car just feels a little more substantial. The cars seem to be the exact same size. The handling is SLIGHTLY crisper, I atribute that mostly do the 16 inch wheels vs my 15's. Maybe large anti roll bars?

I am sure it also feels a little different because of that huge 3.0 liter, but if it had the 2.2 liter Vtect with a 5-speed, the similarities would be even greater.

ANYWAY. I am curious... Besides the obvious visual differences on the outside, the dash and seats on the inside, and the drivetrain, what is the difference? What do they have in common with eachother? Is the CL just a different version of the Accord?
