It is fixable that isn't bad. And no one is going to tell you how to hot wire one of our cars. We are very leary of this. But that is a very easy fix I'd say $100 or so for everything.

I also have a wiper stalk for sale since I see your on the right side of the column is broken.

what he said, keep your eyes open in the junkyard, sometimes they have the key in the ignition still.

Hey man, i notice that you are in Bonney lake, hows it going haha?

Who are you buying it from? When you check it out tomorrow ask them if they can get it running for you.

hey, if it was stolen, then im sure it can be started. When you get down there, you will probly see whats wrong\broken\why\how it was stolen, bring a few comon tools, screw driver, NEEDLE NOSE pliers. and electrical tape. any maybe some electrical tape.

How many miles? Is the body in good shape?

If the answers are "low", and "in great shape", take $400 cash with you and walk away with the car. Don't be a sissy, just do it.

Try and get as much information out of the guy about how it was stolen and what they did to the car besides the ignition.

If the rest of the car is in good condition it's worth $550 easy.

TAKE $400 CASH TO HIM! No one doesn't take cash for a fucked up car. Throw it in his face and offer to walk away. That's how I got my "$2000 91 EX" for $1000.

This is amazing. We are about to tell a trial user how to hot wire a civic. Yea next thing you know someone is going to post up about how their car is stolen.

If anyone posts up in any way shape or form how to do so, is a complete moron.

If you want the car...BUY IT...dont come to a damn car tech forum to ask if you should, because youre asking the wrong people. Its your life and you should look at your own financial situation and decide if you can buy and fix the car. Dont come into a forum asking if you should buy the car and how to hotwire it.

Do some research and find out for YOURSELF how much its going to cost.

i just fixed the same thing on my car...you can get the entire ignition switch with key on ebay for like 50 bucks from dap auto parts... the only hard part is removing the bolts holding it to the steering column...

make sure the door locks are all good because when mine was stolen they fucked up the door locks too...

The key still needs to be turned, so that the electricals and the fuel pump turns. Push starting the car would do nothing, without fuel to the motor.

Look at the switch and you can figure out how to start it especially since the owner still has a key....and assuming you aren't an idiot

well i ended up buying it!!! but i couldnt get it to start so i think i may have to tow it.... =/ like i stuck a screwdriver in the ignition and turned it and nothing happened. the engine didnt turn over or anything. the guy said the car has been sitting for over a month so maybe the battery is dead? or i could have just been doing it wrong.
