Default how diagnose D4 light flashing on a '95?

just today my D4 light started flashing after driving for about an hour. If I turn the car off and imediately restart it, the light will stop flashing for another hour before starting again. My check engine light does not come on

it's a '95 so it's OBD1, how can I check what code is coming up?

i think you need to pull the code from the tcm, if its the same on the integra as it is one the cb7 accords, then you do everthing for pulling a code from the ecu, but one of the atuo indicators will blink. and go from there....id say check in a manual

ok, so I've tried to read the code through the service port by shorting it with a paper clip

either I'm doing it wrong, or well I'm probably doing it wrong. If I turn the car off and then turn the ignition to on, nothing happens. If I drive the car with the connector shorted and wait for the light to start blinking, it will just blink without showing a code.

Remember, if I turn the car off for even a second the light will stop flashing

what can I do?
