Getting a code 15
My CRVTEC swapped '90 Si is throwing a code 15. I looked it up and it appears to be a code for the ignition output signal. What is this and what are some suggested methods for troubleshooting? The car has been very hard to start. If this isn't enough information let me know what you need and I'll try to supply it.
Code 15 - Ignition Output Signal
Something is wrong with the referance voltage, the ECU is receiving from the igniter.
The only way to check this, is with a Volt Meter of some kind, or ocs-scope. The latter being the most accurate. Sooo, that means a trip to a shop, that has this kind of equip...
Most peeps just end-up replacing the dist.. However, you can DYI if you have the tools and manual...

Yeah, I think you're right, this might end up with me buying a new distributor. I'm using a distributor out of a JDM B16A but I have an ITR head. Due to the age of the distributor it very well could be bad. Does an MSD ignition system replace the ignitor in the distributor? I know it replaces the coil (the only reason I ask is that I bought the car with the MSD ignition installed, and I'm not sure what they had to remove from the old distributor).
Also, just for grins I reset the 10A fuse for the ECU tonight. So far the code has not come back but I did not drive the car for very long because there is a huge storm here right now. I'll drive it more tomorrow and see if the code comes back. Oddly enough it was not throwing a CEL, I just happened to look at my ECU when I had the key in the ignition and noticed it was throwing a code.
