Default Couple pics and A question for east cost guys.

Here's the thing, I am looking at lowing my car since it's pretty high. I've been shopping and comparing and have narrowed it dwon to 2. The omnipower and skunk2 full coilover system. Both are giving me what I want and there is about a 70$ price difference.

Heres the question, I live in the salt belt (Pa) and was wondering if the body tends to rust on either of these two. I dont wan't top be replacing tehm in 2-3years because I can't turn them. And being my daily driver I need the adjustability.

A couple photos of the car in question.

ANd plans for the car exterior wise and some 16x7 slips, jdm front with cf hood and mugen cf lip. and a respray of the same color. I love the silver pearl.

The two coilovers that you've selected are great... but coming from New England as well, I gotta tell you that regardless of what brand you select, they will rust. Even if they don't rust, just imagine all that dirt and salt getting in between the threads.

If you decide on coilovers, just make sure that you like the height at which your car is going to be riding on, because after that first winter, you might be stuck at that position, especially if its your daily driver.

Thats what I was afraid of.

I wonder if I wrapped the threads with some grease and masking tape during the winter months.

i'd take the omniman over the skunk2 any day of the week. the coil overs shouldn't be too much of a problem though, i didn't touch mine for soo long, then just used a hammer and a screw driver and broke it loose.

Nice clean Integra. I don't want it to rust either But, like mentioned above really no matter what kind you get they will get full of dirt, sand, salt and you name it. Mine havn't started rusting or anything yet and neither has the body of the car but if your more concerned about the coilovers becoming junked up just brush off the dirt, spray them down good with some PB blaster, and you shouldn't have any problems adjusting the coilovers.

hyjack in progress.

well. i went to the doctors on tuesday, they found another fracture down in my left ankle (kinda where the fibula attaches) they took my right leg cast off, and i got this "L" shape thing that i have to ace bandage on, to help support my ankle if i happen to go out anywhere. my left leg, had the cast off, but after they found the fracture, i got another plaster cast put on(just a short leg cast) that should be coming off on the 31st. im still not allowed to "bear weight" on either leg, so im stuck in a damn wheelchair(ugghhhh). i hope to be able to at least put a little weight on my right leg in a few weeks, so i can get around with crutches, and get back to doin my thing.

you guys that can walk are very lucky. i cant wait to be able to walk again.

I have the omnis on my car now, ut I haven't quite made it to the winter with them yet. I adjusted them the other day after 5 months and they weren't the easiest. I can see them being a problem down the road. But, chances are, after the next adjustment when I finally get them exactly where I want them to be, I will probably never touch them again. I bet you will feel the same way

As for that link posted, I didn't click it, but I assume it has something to do with the collars being week. Although I have not yet, I have been informed that it will be no problem getting another set for free from Omni. I can only assume they are correcting this problem on all new sets and I would take the time to find out if this is true by calling a reputable retailer, because I am nothing but please with the ride and responsiveness

Good luck with it! By the way not only are we in the salt belt but the potato chip belt as well!

Nice car and I'm sure tons of work went into that thing but my integra will never see 170mph or a honkin set-up like that. A drag car is going to abuse the suspension set-up alot more than a street/strip combo. I hope who ever was the driver is/was alright.

I bought a set of the omnipower adjustable upper control arms for the front and I believe I'm going with the skunk2 since there is a sponsor selling them for 575 shipped. I might just get a beater 4x4 for the winter or another dsm.

That thing f-in rocked in the snow
