b16 in Sand rail
say i wanted to throw a b16 in a rail and had it all bolted up. what could i strip from the wire harness , and what has to stay? is it possible to modify the harness to simplify it to where i can run it in the sand rail... if anyone has any ideas let me know thanks....

Not to get off topic, but what tranny are you using? The B series motors spin "backwards" I thought so it wouldnt work with a like a Type 3 VW transmission. I have a sandrail and was going to do the exact same thing.
Looks good man. I have been doing sandrail harnesses for a while. I use only MIL spec heat shrink, wire and processes. Let me know if you are interested.

Its mid engine, im sure he'll just use a GSR tranny with a GSR engine
The 'honda spins backwards' line is only an issue for Front engine rear drive cars.

This would definitely be the way to go. Not only does H-series have more power and torque than B-series. It is also MUCH cheaper. You can get a complete changeover for $2000 from an engine importer. And given the fact that swapping H-series into a sandrail is probably not going to be any harder than B-series, why not?
