ls vtec conversion kit
hey guys im going to be going all motor with my crx, i recently bought an integra ls and pulled the motor so i can use it in my rex, i have been told that the only way that ls vtec will be reliable is if you have somebody who knows alot about that conversion do it for you, recently i found a kit on ebay buy it now for 199.99 and it says you can convert any b series head over with this kit. I am only concerned about doing an ls vtec and i am wondering if anybody has had any experience with this kit or can vouch for it that it does indeed work and will not screw up my motor. thanks alot for any help.

You might want to say what kit it is or post a link. I used the Golden Eagle Vtec Conversion Kit and had no problems. Some people even piece together their own kits.
The fitting size for the head is a 3/8 BSP (or NPT), and for the block is a 1/8 BSP (or NPT). What you need is a 3/8” BSP (or NPT) to 6AN adapter, about 2 feet of 6AN SS braided line, 2 6AN female ends, and the appropriate fitting for the block (depending how many accessories you want to run off the oil pressure sensor location). Use thread sealant on all the connections.

If your just doing LS/VTEC there would be no need for aftermarket rods and pistons...IMO.
Here's my recipe for a good, cheap, reliable build:
LS block
B16A head
B16A pistons, reuse LS rods
B16A oil pump, pickup, water pump
ARP Rod bolts (critical for running over 7000 RPM)
ARP GSR head studs (cheaper than new OEM bolts, B16A ones won't work)
ITR timing belt
New rings, bearings
Get block honed
Get head and block surfaced and block decked
Get crank, rods, clutch, crank pulley all balanced
Golden Eagle dowel pins for B16A head onto LS block
Flamenco-T oil line kit
Stock LS headgasket, modified to fit B16A head
6 puck sprung hub clutch, decent PP
Cheap exhaust, intake
All this = 13.7@103 with stock P30 JDM B16A cams, on street tires.
Any further questions, IM me.

For ECU: My reccomendation is to run OBD-I, with either Uberdata or Crome for tuning. I have a base bin for my ls vtec I wouldn't mind sharing.
I'm running a chipped P06, and I used a wb02 sensor for tuning.
