Canadian SoloSprint (Solo 1) Championship info
Hi All;
For any road racers with an interest in time trails or Solo competitors who frequent this forum, it may interest you to learn that SoloOntario and the HADA Motorsport Club is hosting the first ever SoloSprint (Solo 1) Canadian National Championship, held Sept 9/10/11 at Shannonville Motorsport Park (about 1 hour east of Toronto, Ontario). Please visit http://www.solosprint.ca for more information, registration forms, and much more.
We'd love to see some road racers or Soloists from south of the border make the trip to join us in competition for a national champion trophy. If you're unsure what class your car fits into, since we use a classification unlike any in the U.S., feel free to drop me an e-mail at "planetdave at mac dot com" with a complete list of all mods done to the car (as well as the year, make and model of the car) and I'll send you back a classification.
This is a truly national event, sanctioned by ASN Canada FIA, so come on out and be a part of the inaugural SoloSprint Canadian Championships! Finish in the top 3 in your class and you'll take home a National Championship trophy, something that is pretty rare on the Canadian motorsports landscape these days. We are expecting a large group from Quebec as well as some competitors from western and eastern Canada, so it really will be a nation-wide event, and it would be even better if we had a few intrepid Americans make the trip up here too. For those of you in New York or Michigan, it's not that bad a drive. Please note that it's cheapest to register by August 28th and we've got a cap of 100 competitors, so register soon if you're serious about coming.
Special thanks go out to title sponsor Northern Motorsport (http://www.northernmotorsport.com) as well as key sponsors TRAC Racing (http://www.racing-depot.com) and Inside Track Motorsports News (http://www.insidetracknews.com), whose suppport help make this event possible.
