Default Switching over to Synthetic, a few questions about using it with a freshly built engine/turbo.

I'm planning leaving mineral oil in until 3,000 miles while it fully breaks in, afterwards, i want to switch to Synthetic.

With full synthetic, will this be better on my turbo? It's non-water cooled, so i sit in it for about 2-3 minutes as it cools before shutting off my car, is synthetic less prone to caking?

What is the advantages to synthetic over mineral?

What are stock oil pressure specs? I'm at 15 at 1,100 RPM idle, 25 cruising 50 around 4,500-5,000 RPMs and 65 around redline. This seems a little low in my opinion.

Mine seems pretty low too at 55-60psi above 3rpm. I'm gonna try swapping out the press sender. What gauge/sender are you using?

I'm using a cheapie gauge from NAPA, mechanical.

D-series, not a B-series, not sure if that matters.

When the engine is semi-warm, i get the readings you describe topspeed.

Cold idle it's at 80-85psi.

Should i go to 40 weight insted of 30? This should raise my pressure a bit, it seems good until the car has ran for about 30 minutes, then pressure gets low. My coolant gauge will read full warm after about 5 minutes and my oil pressure is at about 75 above 3.5k and 50 cruising, between start up and the first 20 minutes, pressure seems great.

40w should be fine. Sounds like your Oil pressure relieve valve is stuck or something because of your low oil pressure at normal rpm.
