wiring harness question: si motor into dx
putting a 91 CRX Si motor into an 89 DX. I have a stock Si wiring harness.
Do I need to replace the part of the wiring harness that goes from the ecu to the fuse box? Or can I just replace all of the wiring after the fuse box?

I just put a ZC into my DX and the only parts off of the Si harness I used were the TPS wires, resistor box, and fuel injector wires. The rest you can just use your DX harness.
you have to run 4 wires from the ecu to the engine bay(2 for the injectors, and 2 for the distributor), and then convert the dx to an si...the si won't plug in to the dx main harness
I was under the assumption that you could just take out the dx wiring harness (from the fuse box to the engine) and completely replace it with the si wiring harness. Guess not.
So my best bet would be to use my stock dx wiring harness and add the four wires that go from the ecu to various parts of the engine (tps, fuel injectors, etc)?
Thanks for the help.
