Default GT40R Bushing turbos -- Affordable and Available

PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL ABOUT THESE TURBOS YET!!

Here are some pics of our soon to be released GT40R bushing turbos. These are far more affordable (and they will be readily available shortly) and easier to get than the GT40R (harder to find than a white elk)

The turbos can come with the following A/Rs -- 0.94, 1.19 or 1.34

Availability is starting in about 3 weeks

Price is going to be $1075

Compressor housings come 4" inlet, 2.5" outlet or 4" inlet, 2.5" v-band outlet. Here are some pics

This will be a dream come true for alot of people.

So are you not wanting to give out info on the turbo yet, nor have any questions asked? Just wondering...

You guys can't act like it's not normal to showcase a product before it's available. Just about every manufacturer does it.

Geoff. i thought the R as in GT40R meant that it was a ball bearing turbo? what do you mean by bushing?? wouldnt that just be a GT40? or is there something that i am missing?

the compressor says GT40 on the badge, looks like some new hybrid that they have come out with, doesn't really look like a GT4088R, so i bet on it being a hybrid.

what makes it a rip off? full-race products are tried and true...when have you ever heard a complaint by one of their customers?

its not a ripoff just cause you cant afford it

and no...these are not fighting words...its just a simple bandwagon in and of itself that goes on here....somethins is suddenly "****" or a "ripoff" just because either people don't have it...or people can't get it.

remember one thing, you get what you pay for

I believe it would be the GT40 Journal bearing turbo, and not the GT40R. It's great the Full-Race is starting to get into more turbo lines for their designs.

Good going Geoff. Please give me a shout when you get back.

Yea; because I like paying $1k for $100 worth of stainless bends and some flanges

</TD></TR></TABLE>

Hey smartguy! I think you are forgetting about the fact that somebody has to weld the bends together and some type of profit needs to be made in order continue producing manifolds. If you can't afford the item shut your shithole and build it yourself.

$1075 for the turbo is an awesome deal a similar setup would cost atleast $3k over here.

Wowzers... the retard is going to build his own manifold. Make sure you use lots of Elmers glue and don't forget to fingerpaint it

Sorry Geoff and everybody else.. I'm in a good mood, it's friday and I have a date with a gorgeous 5'11" JDM Queen. Yahoo!! TGIF

Gonna cook up some Tequila Shrimp, sear some steaks on the grill, steam up some veggies, get wet with as many flavors of Tequila as possible at my buddies bar (XQ, Cuervo Gold, Tequila Rose, Tarantula, Some **** called El Sombrero and more) and then get busy on the dance floor. Nothing like Mr. Chocolate dancing to Latino beats with a JDM Amazon.

Oops.. I'm getting off topic. Nice turbo Geoff. Do you think you can get an AR.84 or .86 housing? One of my Japanese friends with a GTR might be interested.

Lol looknig at your sig, just cause you like to save money and feel taht spending extra is sensless doesn't mean everyone is stupid for wanting their products. A manifodl you weld will never come clsoe to waht full-race produces. Do you have a robotic welder? Some people jstu rather pay for quality and tried and tested products taht ahve gotten good reviews after good reviews. Plus not everyone can weld, or and everyone wants to spend their timnig learning free editing ecu programs etc. It's their money/life. You don't see them hating on homemadeturbo style stuff as bad as you are hating on name brand stuff. Even if it's a band wagon taht they want to waste money on. What's it to you? Ppl like you are just out to ruin it for the others.

my thoughts exactly.

make sure to post some pictures when youre done with that manifold youre going to make...so then we can all bet what will give out on it first...then make sure you link us youre "my manifold broke just like ssautochrome...what should i do?"

lmao..sorry for the rant

honestly though, for one, the full-race manifolds are partially hand and partially robotic welded...there is also this little thing called research and development that went into it.....but, just to repeat everyone so you get the point....just cause dont have the funds for it...dont put a well-established company's products down...just shows youre arrogance in the long run

much more affordable when compared to the price of a ball bearing unit. good luck with your manifold...hope all your hard work so that it's made to the best of your abilities is worth it.

sooooo.... now that hes gone we can go back to the subject at hand.

I am looking to see what are the pros and cons of using this gt40r "bushing" turbo in comparison to the standard journal bearing and ball bearing.

The standard bearing setup will be much much cheaper to rebuild.
