My buddies new eg vis hood is like that too, but not that bad. It sits higher than the fender on the driver side corner where the headlamp is. It's not even clost to hitting the rubber bump stop.

is the front frame bent? if so then your whole front end might be crooked.

all i coudl think of is the frame might be a little bent, or the latchs of the hood could be uneven since from the crash, check those out again, if not then I would put those plastic washers or what those things are on. if all of that doesn't help then i would call VIS. lol

Hood pins would definately fix it - you should be using them anyways

I had to adjust the lack on the hood itself, i had to cut it and make it so the hood came down further, and if you look under the hood it says you should use hood pins. i drove to cali with out them and my hood almost flew off cause the bolts slip out of the carbon fiber.... or glue them in!

It looks like the headlight on the right sits lower than the one on the left, that could be part of your problem.

I have a suspicion that you fitment problem is at least partially related to this.

i think that the hood is bended but u can fix it by putting pressure on the ok side n force it...or may be the plates that hold the hood or the rubber thingy's...is it a VIS grade A hood becuse those hoods r the best it shoulnt give u any problems....good luck n update

bottom line is

if the OLD OEM hood fit correctly, this one should too. it's an OEM replacement.
it doesn't matter if you did a 99 conversion.

bring it to a body shop and ask them to help you straighten it, if they can't. call VIS

nice car BTW

Yes it does. It looks like there is something way wrong with the driver's headlight. It sticks out of the fender and sits lower in the bumper. What ever is causing this is could be why the hood fits like crap.
