Back from Bonneville
Sorry to say that we (Raceline USA) didnt set a new speed record at bonneville.
First shake down pass to evaluate the course on low boost we went 184mph.
Second pass we went high boost and qualified to at 194mph on a 186 record, but we knew the motor wouldnt last for the back up run the next day.
So the next morning we go to make the run and the car only went 143mph, so i had to turn off the course.
Here is a list of things that went wrong.
Cracked the intake manifold - tried to repair w/ JB weld
Turbo connector hose came loose
Boost controller hose came loose
Water temp too high
Oil temp too high
Miss-fire at 6-7krpm
24" tire too big - should of stayed 22"
Broken CV boots
I have to say that we are out of money to fund this project.
We will try again for next year.
Accomplishments for this year.
El Mirage record holder - 164mph G/BGC 5/2005
El Mirage record holder - 176mph G/BGC 6/2005
Battle of the imports winner - Street Comp. 10.85@137mph 7/2005
Thanks everyone for their support.

I think i saw the pics from the last time at bonneville.
Do you do any sort of aero package when you do the high speed pass?? Maybe some sort of front lip to increase downforce, or at least try to avoid any sort of aero lift?

Can you offer any specs on the transmision you're using for the 190+mph runs? I know the gsr and even the ls transmissions are too short for that kind of speed.
194mph is incredible, and i can't wait to see you take it higher

the class i run is a stock body class. no modifications to the body. the type r seems to be very stable at those speeds.

you hit it right on the dot. i wanted a car that did everything. pretty much got tired of all these "domestics" ragging on hondas all the time. after 15 years of getting **** on, it kinda gets to you. so instead of talking back, i let the performance of the car do all the talking. i wanna see a mustang do everything i have done, and do it very well. to be honest, i love all cars that made a mark in their period.
