Default bumper setup question

heres the deal, i bought a hatch with a bodykit, i hate it, i want to convert it back to stock, i have no bumper pieces, looking at my chiltons manual it shows that the front bumper assembly holds up the front bumper cover? is this true? will i need to get the actual metal bumpers or can i just get the covers for the front and back and the front filler. if any of ya know offhand which parts i would need to convert back to all stock. i dont really want the bumpers, what do they do like stop 5mph worth of damage. no good. and if any of you know a good website that sells oem parts of would i just be better off goin to the dealer?

let me put it this way...i was stopped at a light in my old ej coupe and some guy came and smashed into me from the back...it was raining so the car slid across the intersection...i got out expecting to see my back all crunched up and there was no damage just a scratch in paint...if i had no re-bar the whole back of the car would have been destroyed...plus u need the re-bar cuz a piece of metal that clamps into the bumper mounts to it...why would u wanna take it off anyways?

i never had the bumpers or supports, i got it with a body kit with nothing, ive had the car for 2 years, after i lowered it the body kit went to hell cuz i slammed it. its a 90 hatch, ive been driving around w/o bumpers or covers with nothing on my car at all for the last 6 months and i hate it. its getting to me, time to finish and stock i think looks the best. so your saying i will need everything to get the bumpers back on and aligned up? i need to supports for front and back and the covers?
