Default Stolen Type R, Washington State

I was treasure hunting in the AAA Auto Wrecking junk yard located in North Auburn/ South Kent today and came across a black Type R shell in pretty bad shape. It's completely stripped though the body doesn't appear to be wrecked, I'm asuming it was theft related. Just wondering if it belonged to anyone on here and when it dissappeared from the owner?

Here is the VIN# if someone can trace it to authenticate the chasis and what not. All my cop buddies are too busy at the moment.

I'm unfamiliar with the Honda VIN numbers. I was under the imperssion that there was no order to them, as the Type R's came off the assembly line.

Are you positive that is the vin? It looks like a 97 3dr GSR from the vin.

I'm not positive, this is why I was asking someone to run it. The color code matched the paint, the interior code matched the interior, and I checked all the vin numbers and they all matched each other.

If that was the correct vin for the car then that means it was not a type r.

Did you notice that it had a sunroof?

RS should have a vin with DC4.

the 12th to 17th characters (numbers) are the ones that seem to have no correlation to the badge numbers and/or engine block numbers.

That is definitely not a ITR as already mentioned b/c of the 8 after 'dc23'.

still sad to see a car in that condition, R or not
