just driving today down the interstate and the car wont go into 6th. has anyone ever had this happen? all the other gears shift smooth. please let me know if you can help or have any ideas

 

There's a bit of discussion on this issue over at S2ki. IIRC, RT (user) had his go away and then come back after some time had passed. Others have said changing the fluid doesn't always bring it back, and that it could be with the forks used for 6th itself. Get it checked out, especially if under warranty.

 

Some 00 S2's has a recall on the transmission. Call Honda and give them your vin number and hopefully they'll check or they will give you some other number to call. Good Luck.

there is no recall on the 2000 s trannys...only a bullet

 

Thats odd because on my trannies 6th gear is usually effortless to get into. Both have under 20k miles on them though, so wear and tear might have something to do with it.
