Default SOHC Swap

I have a 93 DX Hatch and the head gasket is blown and the head is warped. I'm getting a D16Y8 motor from a 98 Civic EX from a friend and I was wondering how easy is the swap and what I will need, will I have any problems having an OBDI and going to an ODBII. And also if anyone knows of a write up or anything that shows step by step for the swap. I've searched but came up with nothing. Also my car is automatic. And I thought about B series but I'm a little low on funds.

I would recommend staying OBD I and just gettin a conversion harness, D swaps are the easiest of all the honda engines, use the SEARCH buttom to check for a writeup thats my guess.

it'll drop right in but make sure you he gives you his tranny too or find a y8 tranny! But a OBDI conversion harness to an OBDII. Good luck!

i have it in my with the obd1-2 harness. --> p28 ecu I would say if you had the Chilton manual and you never have done it before and just followed what it said, it can be done very easily.

I do have a manual but I'm not sure in its the Chilton's one. So where can I get an OBDII to OBDI harness? And roughly how much would it be?
