Default swapping d16z6 in for my d15 got some wiring harness questions

I have a 92 dx w/ d15 in it that is about to die.I'm going to buy a d16z6 with harness, tranny, ect.I want to know if I will have to remove the dash or any dash components to swap the harness(I havn't removed carpet yet)..I've never owned anything but ef's so I guess I'm a newb to eg...so if any EGog's can help I thank you in advance.also will keeping a/c and p/s be a problem for this swap.thanks

it will all bolt up and the harness will connect and everything... all u need to do is 2 wires for vtec solinoid and pressure switch

on the vtec solinoid there is 1 wire that needs to go to the ecu.... and the vtec pressure switch the black wire goes to a ground and the other goes to the ecu... you obviously dont need to worry about all the other crap since its pinouts for a b series... all u need is pressure switch and vtec solinoid

but I'm using the d16z6 wiring harness and ecu, so I don't think I will have to rewire for vtec, but will I have to remove anything form the dash to get old harness out and new one in?

oh you have the full harness from ecu to firewall? okay remove the battery and battery box then it should pull through... thats all... the drivers side connectors will be fine... just the passanger side where it goes to the ecu

one more thing, do I have to drain the freon from the system or can I just unbolt it from the motor, pull the motor, drop the other one in and bolt the a/c back up?or should I get it discharged first?is there a big probability that the freon will leak during this?this will be my first swap that included an a/c system and I really don't want to pay to get it recharged if I don't have to.

you can unbolt the ac pump from the motor... run a string or wire through one of the mount holes and tie it up to the radiator support.... i always just take the ac out.. i like haveing a lot of room to move the motor around.. youll see what i mean when u go to swap the motor in... good luck it should be an easy swap

didn't all 92 civics come pre wired for vtec, why buy a new harness ?... i'm not 100% sure but i would look into that first before you spent extra..
