Default finished ls swap runs like crap *searched*

i just put my ls swap in its a 94 block with a b20 head i had it milled for straightness then new upper gasket kit and all that took the throttle body off ran it and hte manifold through a solvent tank to clean them up and put new tb gasket im using a pr4 obd0 ecu stock civic si wiring harness and injectors brand new 90 integra distributor cap and rotor and when it is running it kinda sounds lik a dun bugey since it is just open header and when you rev it up it sounds like it is just mis firing like crazy and stuters and all that ive had checked all the vacuum lines and sensors i can think of and nothing has changed

hook up the rest of your exhaust. you need some back pressure on that sh*t. also if you keep running it open header you will burn up your valves. and if you're using the b20 intake manifold, that might also be a problem. the design wasn't that great for power. try getting a skunk2 or something.

blah open header is fine long as you have the down pipe on.

sounds like firing order, cam timing, or map sensor BUT:

First things first, do you have a check engine light and if so what is the code?

yea hte firing order was right it starts up and runs so its definently not firing order cause i messed up two of the wires the last time and it wouldnt run at all i have had a check engine light a few times it was 43 which is fuel something i can remember its not a b20 intake manifold and if i hook up the rest of the exhaust will just hte cat convertor work cause i have to wait until my dads friend can take my car to his house and bend the pipes for the exhaust back to the axle

my b18a swap was running like that too. I had a cpl problems, fouled plug, 1 bad plug wire, firing order wrong, and the screw fell out of my rotor in the dizzy. I fixed those and ran great even when it was an open downpipe. Just so you know firing order is 1-3-4-2 clockwise starting with bottom left. check the gap in your plugs too.

You obviously have not clue whatsoever what your talking about. Backpressure is a myth. Do a search. Ive ran an open header on my car for months without any issues whatsoever... Im currently doing the same now that its boosted... The B20Z manifold wont fit under the hood of a Civic/CRX and the B20B manifold will fit and work just fine.

Check over these things
Cam timming
Ignition timming
Firing order ( I spent like 30min trying to figure this out the other, gave up and went inside and got my printout lol)
All vac. hoses on the motor have a home
All plugs are plugged into a sensor ( Check and see if you switched the TPS and the MAP, happends frequently when doing swaps)

Make sure that each individual injector is injecting fuel. You can do this by taking a screwdriver and putting it directly on the injector and listen to it click open an shut.

Good Luck!

are your vac lines going to the right places? Check to see that they are. I hooked up my map wrong after a swap and it ran like crap (can't believe I made it home 3 miles from where I put it in) and had no power + missfired everywhere.

use either sensor the map on the firewall or throttle body it doesnt matter but make sure they are hooked up right the tps sensor has the same plug as the map sensor i believe, also try with your stock si computer it should still run fine with that just to rule out the computer as a problem as well,

If you are 100% sure the firing order is right then check everything else. When mine was wrong it would run just like your saying yours does. If you lived close to me (St louis) i would helo you out more but everything that ppl have said already are the only things i can think of. Did you hear the motor run before you got it. When it does run a little but does it smoke at all?
