Default First Post: I'm an idiot. HELP.....ME....Please!!!

I'm an idiot for a number of reasons, but my most recent reason is that I let my g/f touch my car (2002 honda Civic). She tried to give my car a jump to see if it was a battery issue, and she put the terminals on HER CAR BACKWARDS. Now I'm not getting anything at all, no lights, no radio, no power windows, nothing. Fortunately, I had not tried to crank it or anything.

I noted that the big fuse in the fuse box over the battery (numbered "80" is blown). Is that the main fuse? How likely is it that this blown fuse is my ONLY problem, besides the battery. I really hope I didn't blow my computer up or anything. Any words of encouragement, or wisdom?

Replace the fuse and see whats up. There's really not much else to do. For more assistance, we're going to need more information, like pics of your girlfriend...

Hmm....she might be my EX after this. Which will make her pics fair game.

But anyway, I hope its just the fuse. The fuse itself is HUGE. Its one of only a couple that is encased in glass, and screwed down to the body of the fusebox. THey definitely did not intend for it to be easily removed.

And thanks for the welcome.

Would a shut down of the main fuse shut down all the electronics in the car?

When that fuse blows, it's doing the same thing as disconnecting the terminal from the + side of the battery.
