wish I could help... check the manufacturers site you might find something you never know...

Gauges will typically do full sweep if it's not getting a reading from the sensor, just power. Check the connection to the oxygen sensor wiring first. If it's good, check the back of the gauge to see if it says what wire goes where. The black may actually be for the sensor and green for ground...you never know.

Or you could go to advance auto or autozone and ask them to look at a set of the instructions

Ya you bought a pretty light show!!!!
Anyways, Something is not right, when in open air or not running, the gauge should read right lean. An o2 sensor puts out it's max voltage when no fuel is detected. That is if you put the key to the on position.
But anyways again, the gauge will not be accurate(Narrowband A/F gauges aren't in the first place) until the sensor heats up.

Well you're supposed to hook up the red wire to a switched 12V source...not straight to the battery! That's why it's staying on and draining your battery in the process. Anyway, I'm sure there are instructions on how to hook up an AF gauge online somewhere.

Exactly what I was thinking. A/F ratio gauges are useless.
