Side molding help on my EJ!!!

I changed the driver side fender on my EJ and the molding doesnt have the white little clips to clip them on. What can I do to get it back on?

What I did was punked a clip from the wreckers and glued the clip onto the molding and attached the molding a few min later to my fender

still holding up good
