yeah I've been thinking the same thing...I think my next car will be a Mustang Cobra with a stripped interior and a butt-load of suspension mods...

this is starting to scare me, i even had a dream that my car was stolen last night, thank God my garage will be clear enough to park it tomorrow, and i live in a town with low theft rate.
Seriously I am considering selling my R for a normal car.
Sorry What the hell was I thinking I love that car to much.
I wish my R could sleep in my house then she would be safe

Thieves rather have our $15-25k cars than a $100k mercedes.
Guess the German's are good at keeping thieves away. If I get a GSR in 1.5 years, it is gonna look 100% on the outside. I couldnt deal w/the envy everyone has for a ITR.

You know, I hear about stolen this and stolen that.......
Another ITR gone off the list.
Now, I'm not here to bag on anyone, but how is it that you guys/gals go out and buy a almost $30k car, that is a limited production, and not garage it?
Hell, my 15k civic sits in a garage every night. And if I go out drinking with my friends, they drive.
If I owned a ITR, it would be safe every night, not parked in my driveway.
Sorry for all the losses, but I'm sure some of them could have been avoided.

But everyone can afford a ITR right?
My point is if you're going to make that investment for a nice car, why not protect it somehow, or don't buy such a nice car.
You wouldn't buy a home and not insure it properly, right?
Whats so different about a car?
People don't buy collector or limited production cars such as Porsche, Viper, Mercedes, Pantera, etc...... without first having extra protection such as Insurance and a safe place to store it. Correct?

The people that get their Rs stolen are usually the ones that drive it a lot, like using it as their daily driver. Not only can it get stolen while you park it somewhere, but it gives potential thieves more opportunities to see you when you are out driving it, and follow you home and scope you out.
Having a 2nd car and a garage is the best deterrent to R-stealers. This is a big enough problem that people who can't provide either of these things should not even be thinking of buying this car.

People can steal them from garages as well
Like everyone said, they want it? they'll get it somehow.
Yes, that's why we have insurance. but we'd like to do everything
we can to prevent it from being stolen easily I think and having to avoid
insurance claims. Making it difficult for the thief buys you time. (unless they tow it
)
And depending on where people live, it may be difficult to get a garage that is private because housing costs maybe high or renting with a garage maybe high. That alone may be another investment
On a continent where some people do not respect what people have, this is what we have to deal with
Getting a garage is ideal. Driving a nice car whether it's for the commute or for fun is nice as well. Aw well, i am just babbling
Integras and Civics are weird in that there are swappable parts for several chassis. and ITR's have supposedly the best parts so people who can't get it through regular means by buying new parts would rather have the easier way out and steal. that's a big no no.
