Default dpfi to mpfi swap, smog legal????

yo so i did the swap, done at a shop, dont ask why. so i tried to smog the hatch, and my CO is at 10.8 % but its sopposed to be at .7%

what to do??? serious help needed. pleassseeee!!!!

Check your wires on the swap. It doesn't make sense to me that a swap which gives better fuel delivery would worsen your smog. It's possible the mechanic screwed up some wires, or didn't adjust your timing. It's also possible he didn't switch the TPS wires around and the Throttle Body is acting funny.

Then again, I've never done the swap, so I'm just talking out of my ***.

k, well i went to the shop where i got my wiring done, and the guy said my timing could be off, so to check that and check my 02.

Sounds like good advice. either one of those would cause serious problems with smog.

I plan on doing that swap as well. let me know how that went.. Let me know if you passed smog, too. I live in California where laws are freakin strict.

yea well, i ended up doing the crooked smog, my timing is still off, never had the time to fix my timing belt, so i just paid for the smog. now it passed and now i got to go to the damn dmv and wait in line for bout 3 hours just to turn in my certificate and get my new tags. with my new plates that say,
PRD HT MMBR
