Default CRX HF dropping a ZC in couple questions.

I am dropping a ZC in my HF. I am using a dx transmission can I use 92-95 honda civic EX hubs or do I need 88-91 SI hubs? Please let me know and can I use 92-95 axles or just 88-91 axles?

Use CRX hubs/axles. Or, better yet, some 90-91 EX ones.
EG axles are different is length (about half-inch). I haven't tried to install them after taking the initial measurement.

I haven't tried to install EG knuckles, so you can try doing that, but I'm pretty sure they are different in shape somewhat. Just get 90-91 kknuckles from VAP133, I think he's still selling them.

Edit: As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure you can get by with your stock axles and knuckles. Axles should fit the DX tranny just fine.

Pretty much all d-series motor parts fit with the zc from what I've been told and in my experience since I just swapped one in and out with a b16... take your old axles to pep boys and they should give you a discount on some new ones just tell them what motor year and all that other good stuff... I think I spent 140.00 on brand new ones... but tell me how everything turns out and how fast the car is (just curious)

I drive alot for work and this is just my commuter. So i don't want really short gears. I prefer tall for gas mileage and sake of traffic and ease. But i didn't want the HF transmission because the gears are WAY to tall.

you don't need to swap knuckles/hubs - just use your HF axles with the DX transmission

hey, i just did the exact swap in my hf two weeks ago, and i used the stock axles. no need to buy new ones, i think they're holding up fine. and you should really like the difference, i know i do, and i didn't have to spend two grand to get great performance.
