to answer your question you will have to go the chp to get a new vin# and you will have to go to the state ref, as well as have a dot instpection.

among other things.... if you do a search its all been talked about before.

 

cxshoe thanks for the reply. but im curious what year did you guys register your jdm itr. and how did you guys pass state ref without the obd2 scanner plug under the dash?

It's not necessarily a "big secret". The fact is, there aren't a tremendous number of legalized JDM ITR's here to begin with. Additionally, your thread title isn't terribly descriptive, and probably doesn't immediately attract the attention of those who might have some information to provide.
