Nicely done ^^^
And humphreyz- the haters on here can be bad, but don't let them bother you. Most of them are just kids who have nothing better to do.
Ignore it and move on.

you are a goofball
all the z6 information in the world is out there already. it should be pretty damn easy to get it in there as far as swaps go

d16z6s I believe came stock on 92-95 SIs... so I'm pretty sure it'll be plug and play and long as you remember to plug everything back up, that you unplugged.

I think the only difference in the motor swap would be that you need to wire in VTEC.
Just look through the FAQ at the beginning of the page and you'll find a few different swap writeups.
Things your going to need are a P28, D16Z6, and some wires to add VTEC.
BTW- There are quite a few ******** on this site. There are a couple of reasons.
1) threads like this have been covered a billion times and you would have found your answers by searching. Vets get tired of looking at the same posts
2) Some people are retarded and know nothing about cars, so they have to flame to boost their post count because they have nothing to add to a thread.
What exactly are you asking about the swap? shiftlinkage and mounts can all be reused. You can use your stock tranny, but the Z6 is better for acceleration.

Just to add some recently discovered knowledge to the post; All 1992 civics produced out of Marysville, OH were pre-wired for VTEC. Also all 1993's with March or earlier production were also pre-wired for VTEC. nota-eg is 100% right not only with his technical info but the part about flamers too. You gotta hate the kid with 10,000 posts who hasn't even posted anything technical. I guess it just makes them feel better about the inferiority complex..

I've only been a member for a little over a year and a half, and it has started to snowball downhill. I came on and there were so many helpful people, then they went away and all these non-helping flamers came out of the woodwork. It really blows. If we could just get rid of them we would get rid of so many useless posts and HT would be a great board again.

A few of the mods are on strick / quit after dustin got screwed over and fired a little while ago so thats one reason why this **** is getting out of controll.
As for the original question, it should all be plug and play, I belive the car is partially wired for vtec up to the piller but Im not 100% on that.

I see you're from wales mate. The EDM 92-95 hatches are a bit different to the US ones. I live in Scotland and im currently dropping a d16z6 into my 92-95 LSi. Ive had to do SO much research as theres quite a few different things you have to do. If you need any info just drop me a PM and Ill try and help.

the UK version of the hatch is different than the US versions. Some have carbs and 1.3L engines. Doing a Z6 swap into them is a lot more difficult. (fuel tank swap to get the in tank fuel pump, all the fuel lines, a lot of wiring)
humphreyz - which version do you have?
