as the rr/autox forum is wondering, i'll wonder too.
where did these come from? I dont get a good feeling seeing 4 shells sitting like that, esp with the amount of dirt caked on, they look to have been there a long, long time.

Nothing to worry about guys.
It is actually a Type-R graveyard indeed.
The cars were bought back from the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC)
Where they are being held now is at well known reputable (LEGIT) wreckers in Vancouver, BC.
How do I know? I used to go there on a bi-weekly basis.....ahhh..the good ol' days....

The only cars with no wipers were 97s.... all 98+ Rs in Canada had the rear wiper.

Better safe than sorry.
Another question - I was not aware that a salvaged title could not be re-titled once rebuilt (and probably inspected/approved by dmv or someone similar/etc.) Maybe it varies state to state (and province to province)... ?

No I was thinking more along the lines of a transformer made out of 4 Type R's. Robots in the disguise.

As posted in another forum...
Hey guys and gals,
I just wanted to post up a few issues regarding where these cars came from. As Crescent has pointed out, they are in Vancouver, BC Canada. In Vancouver there is only ONE insurance company and it is called ICBC. Each time a vehicle gets stolen like this ICBC writes it off with a dismantle only title to it.
Each one of these ITR's had everything but the wheels front lip and complete interior when we got them. Yes I have driven each and everyone fo them to thier resting place now.
My family owns the Honda/Acura salvage yard and my position is to sell good parts like this.
Each car when purchased will come with a BILL OF SALE from me and the yard. This bill of sale will include the VIN # of the car.
If you have any questions please contact me by phone at 604.671.8431 and I will clarify.
Last thing, these cars do not come with insurance paperwork, this means they CANNOT be driven ever again on ANY public road in North America. There are for racing only.
Thanks,
Raymond
BTW: I have had many guys call me for these shells, 9 out of ten people I did not understand the message or phone number. Please call me back again if I have not responded yet.
New Addition to the post...
There is not a Honda/Acura Civic part I don't have. From little trim pieces to door panels to seats and etc. When I say Honda/Acura, I mean ALL of Honda Acura including NSX's, MDX's and what have you.
Keep your eye out as I am posting all our parts on Importclassifieds.Com. Email me with any question for any of these cars. raymond@groupmediaci.com
Thanks again for the read!
