Brake Parts List
id like to make a list of the brake parts and prop valve numbers on cars that come stock that are relevent to 88-91 civic and crx. meaning, parts must fit our chassis and are interchangeable, so i dont care about a 2000 civic ABS prop valve.
if you have anything to contribute, please post it. I will continue to update the list as I gather information. ill include official part numbers wherever applicable. feel free to cross reference and check if the information is correct.
here is a more graphical spreadsheet.

i am using these references, as well as visual checks.

Well there is that nifty OEM Brake conversion that Jonathan_ED3 came up with for us not using the EX/DA Hubs, you should be able to mooch a whole bunch of parts from that list.
bah, that thread gave me nothing but headaches. i dont consider it an oem switch if you gotta machine a part.
are EG prop valves interchangeable with EF?

i cant open up that thread without it crashing ie for some reason anyway.
more headaches...
i think EG's can use EF compatible master cylinders tho... theres a thread that talks about using the 15/16 EX MC

ill probably add some foot notes. but i dont want it to become too verbose either.
so if i just limit it to things that FIT, then it should be pretty self explanatory.
what i find interesting is that the S and Si preludes have DIFFERENT MC! so which is which... i need to confirm which one ppl are talking about are 15/16", or are both, and if so, whats the difference. because the part numbers are different.
which is why id like others to help confirm things, but seems like no one cares.....
ppl just want to be spoon fed and told what to do i guess...

yeah, so whats the deal with the prelude S then. is that usable? does that have the same bending requirement... what size is that? whats the prop valve number?
the reason im so curious is because the S model has the same calipers as the 90-91 CRX Si. but oddly has a different rear piston part number, although the rotor is the same.... just trying to piece the puzzle...

anyone happen to know why the 2nd gen HF drums and backplate are different?
(i know about the 1st gens being aluminum and finned, but the 2nd gens are certainly not that obviously different...)

I dunno if its what you are wanting, but, I got 2 sets of 17cl15vn calipers from the junkyard not long back. One was of a 92 vigor , the other was off a 92 legend. As far as I know, thats the only parts that can be moded to work on a 4g civic. If you want to add it to your list, I'll look to see what trim they were the next time I go there. Oh, and one more thing, are you not going to worry about rear caliper on your list?
