Anyone know anything about Miatas in here??
OK OK, this is just asking to be hellaciously flamed, but this seems to be the fastest moving section of H-T, so I figured I'd ask here.
Does anyone know if I can upgrade my Miata's brakes, front, or all, with brakes from either an FC or FD RX-7?
I don't care if this is moved to a more appropriate section or deleted, just figured I'd ask. I'd add pictures of my Miata, but it's boring...it's stock, other than a rollbar and a hardtop.

Several aftermarket bolt-on kits are available for the Miata, but to be honest, the stock brakes are pretty decent. (They're good enough for Spec Miatas, right?) I have the Flyin' Miata kit on my Miata. It all bolts on.
True, Spec Miata guys don't seem to have any braking issues at all, so the stockers must be pretty decent. I figure I'll just invest in a decent set of pads, Carbotech, EBC, Hawk, etc. and be happy, not like this is my racecar or anything.
I was just wondering if it'd be an easy upgrade, mainly for the bling-effect, like those people with NSX brakes on their DC2's. I know, I'm a ricer

For you guys that have Miatas, how do you like them? I was definitely considering buying one for my first real car. FWIW there was at Carmax which was a mazdaspeed miata for $21,000 with low miles. Is this a good deal? Car seemed in perfect condition.

This is tempting. Especially since here, miatas aren't winter-driven meaning that they're rust free.
