Hey guys,
I wanna try replacing all my cam cap bolts, however I dont want to have to take them all off and redo my timing belt or redo my valve lash specs. Is there anyways I can replace each individual bolt with my new bolt?
Also will installing the cam cap bolt dry or with almost no oil cause the torque readings to be off? I put some oil on the bolts, but I left them sitting for a few days and they might have dried off. So when I was installing the bolts, on some of them the torque readings would go up but then at 150-160 in/lb it would stop even though I was still turning my beam-type torque wrench.
I know this is more of a general tech question, but I figured you NA guys have a lot more experience with working on the internals. If the mods think this doesn't belong here they can move it.
TIA

You could probally change them like that but its not a good idea. Also YES torqing bolts with no lube will affect the torqe specs definitly oil those things.

yeah, a dry bolt wont stretch properly causing wrong torque readings...
