ok guys....my car didnt come with a owners manual....and i was trying to figure my gas milage out...how big is the gas tank on 92' accord EX

 

somewhere between 15 and 17 gallons.....i know 5th ge3ns (94-97) is 17, and the light comes on after 14

 

my 93 se is 65 litres

 

Don't worry about the size of the tank. The gas pump will tell you how much gas you have used.

 

My 93 is aprox. 17 gallons man. He just wanted to know dude. GEEEZZZZZ. lol I will check my manuel for you and post later.

Easy way to figure exact gas mileage...

1)fill tank
2)reset trip meter
3)drive for a few days
4)make a note of the mileage on your trip meter
5)fill the tank back up and note the number of gallons
6)Now divide the number of miles by the number of gallons and you have true mpg.

 

Better make this after full tank use of gas gives you more average mileage figure.
If you top off every time you pump fuel, right down the trip mileage and devide that with the gallon. It should give you any where from 20 to 30 miles per gallon.
My worst was 24 and best (driven whole tank on HWY) was 35 mile per gallon.

Try to park at the same pump on both fillups so the tank is in the same position both times. (not leaning away from pump on one fillup and towards the pump on the other fillup) It could mean alot if the parking lot is on a slant, which most are, at least a little for water drainage. I doubt if it would be exactly 17 gallons, even if the tank is bone dry.

 

The gas tank on my '99 LX is 17.12 US gallons.

But to get gas mileage, do what Vt4cPwn35 said above.

wow i didn't know my 5th gen was 17, i always thought it was 15, and i thought i was cutting it close. ha ha

 

go to a website like Edmunds.com and look under spec's. It should give you that kind of basic info
