how much does a timing belt usually cost to get replced at a dealer?
and im at 70,000 miles without a timing belt service and am going autocrossing this weekend. Is that bad?

I'd get it changed if i were you, but i wouldn't go to a dealer.

I went to the stealership last time to got quoted and they quoted me around $780 replacing timing and water pumps. That is parts + labor included.

Get a buddy who knows about cars, search for a how to and do it yourself. It is not really hard, it is just time consuming whne you first do it.

If you really plan to work on your car yourself, you should buy a copy of the manual, so you have it handy whenever you're working on the car. It's worth every penny. You can buy it here.

The recommendation in the owner's manual and service manual, as shown on page 4-6 of the service manual for the 1998 Integra, is 105K miles or 7 years, whichever comes first, even in the schedule shown for severe conditions. If you want to change it sooner than that, you can, of course, but that's the recommendation in the manual.

and i just ordred a helms manual so i can do iy my self thanks nsxtasy
