possible gas leak?
i have a 96 civic dx hatch with roughly 150K miles on it and whenever im driving around i catch a scent of gas inside my car...the scent usaually lasts for awhile. are me seals and lines wearing out? or is it another problem? ps my gas mileage sucks but i keep up with mantainance. thanks

If you don't see any leaks from the lines, my guess is that the evaporative emissions canister/circuit may be screwed up somehow. Best to closely examine your fuel lines for leaks, first, though. I'd put a high priority on finding the source of the smell. Raw gas is not something to ignore for long... bad things can happen, as in engine fires.
