ok, well, i'm not looking at my manual right now, but this is basically how it works. if you still need help after this, let me know and i'll look at the manual.

basically you hold down the button you want to use for a couple of seconds (it should begin to blink) then you press the learn button on the garage door within 30 seconds. you should then be able to go back to your car and test the button. it's pretty simple.

like i said, i'm not looking at the manual myself, but i believe that this is how it's done. it's been about 8 months since i've done it though. if this doesn't work for you, let me know and i'll go to the manual.

I would also suggest going to the dealer about not having the manual.

the car is already a year old.

the dealer never gave the manual and i forgot for a while

and then moved

there is no chance of them giving me one now.

that sucks

Go to the Homelink site. They have a site of their own which teaches you how to program it. The manual wont show you how.

It only works with certain kinds I think.

^^^^ Read the quote on my post....that is how you program your home link......

--- Hold the homelink button until it begins to blink....
--- Then while holding the button put your opener next to the home link button and hold it until it stop blinks.....
--- Then when you use the homelink button...you can just click it, you have to hold it for a half second for it to work
