Default all these posts about cars getting stolen.....is there prevention?

lately i have seen quite a few posts on car-jackings and strippings and im getting pretty pissed off about it. i just had my cd player, aem cai, and valve cover stolen from my '89 hatch. no worries that karma wont come back to them, but its bad news bears for the owners. for all of those who own hondas, or i guess any car, what the hell is the best way to prevent thieves?

up with good deeds
down with thieves!!

Nope. Only way is to not get a Honda since everyone and their mother wants one now, or since F&F came out. Thank God I'm getting a Jeep next month and selling my Honda.

You can hire some armed security guards to watch your car at all times.

If you have a good alarm with a battery cutoff, a starter cutoff, a fuel cutoff and a backup siren (or 3 ) the chances of your car getting stolen are a lot lower. At that point, they will basically have to flatbed the bitch, so most crack heads and such will never even bother ******* with your car, even just to break in and steal some cds or some ****. It's only the people who really know what they're doing who will still go for it, and the bottom line is that if they really want it, they'll get it.

OH and another not-so-bad idea is to have a visible flashing LED or some other sign that tells people to **** off. Again, that will deter most average jackass theives, but the good ones will still go for it.

Fuel cut, funny. Yea it stops punks but serious theives will be able to go right past it.

Most times its someone who's been watching you, usually a friends friend who heard about your car and what kinds of security it has.

I'm suprised no one has posted the "cause for alarm" website yet.

Layer the security A LOT, don't drive your baby to unfamiliar places. Its tough with honda's.

I'm always worried, I park my beater behind my car at night so it won't get towed anywhere. I wish I had a garage, I would sleep better.

Of course there's prevention. I would think taking steps to protect your car would be obvious.

A good basic security layer would be an alarm, a locking device like the Club, and a Driveway Patrol.

IMO people need to spend money on security first before audio and performance stuff.
