Default gas mileage/fuel pressure HUGE problem...

I cannot seem to figure this out at all, but i have a b16 that i just installed a few days ago on my 99 civic. Currently im running the wahlbro 255 on the N/A motor (will be going boost soon). My fuel pressure is at 90psi. Im runnin on the stock ecu and stock injectors. I had the b&m fpr and that couldnt turn it down and some people said to go for the aem. So i bought the aem fpr and still, i could not lower it past 90. If i did keep on loosening the screw, the car would just die. My gas mileage is about 15 to the gallon and the car is misfiring quite a bit. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can get the fuel pressure down? Fuel return line is fine also, not kinked. Thanks in advance

you should really get a wide band o2 gauge before you start changing the a/f ratios.

I have tried another fuel pressure gauge and it also reads the same. As for a wideband...im running a stock ecu and stock injectors right now. I'm not trying to change the fuel pressure, i'm having a problem with it.

Is the fuel pressure guage on the fuel filter?
If so then make sure that all thewashers for the hose leading to the fuel rail are in the right places. I had this same problem when I did my swap. One of the washers got sqeezed into the regulator at the left side of the fuel rail, creating a backup in the hose from the filter to the rail. My fuel pressure also read 90psi. I got a new washer and put in and all is good now.

are you talking about the washers from the hose to the fuel rail or the washers for the fuel filter? And yes, my gauge is attached to the fuel filter.

Since the fuel pressure will be releived, you could check both sets of washers. The washers on the rail are the ones to check. Look for the ones on the incoming fuel regulator.
