Tips to remove scratches?
Alright.....so I was driving down the Interstate on my way to school this morning. A Semi blew a tire and the re-tread seperated from the rest of the tire.....and flew right into the front of my car.
Besides cracking the lenses on the parking lamps on my Prelude...it scratched everything up pretty bad. Most of it doesn't seem to be too deep...just one spot got chipped really bad. I want to paint it but dont know if that is going to be an option at this time...cost$$$$$$.. So can anyone recommend the best way to cover these scratches up for now. It is a black car and every little thing like jumps out at you. I think some of it might be able to be buffed out maybe with some really good wax....any suggestions?

Am taking it to the shop later this morning for an estimate as far as repainting the fronmt end....not sure if I will have it done right now ....depends on how much it costs. Was just wondering if there was any suggestions I could do till then. Thanks guys. Oh yea...anyone in the North Alabama area out there? If so....I would like to see some pics of your cars....plus any tips on what shoips to use around here.
They didnt stop....and I am not sure it came off that truck...it could have run over it himself and thrown it up. No tag on the trailer that I could see either
If it is a small scratch then you can use my $1 fix it solution.
Buy womens nail polish that matches the color of your car. The brush included is real tiny so you wont over paint the scratch. I wouldnt use this technique on anything big though.

good idea about the nail polish...the brushes are smaller than the ones that come with the touch up paint.....but the scratches are fairly small.....theres just alot of them and they cover a pretty good size area...like half the bumper

Yea it wont look good for lots of little scratches all in one area....the solution I was talking about is for like 1 or a couple random scratch in a large area. If you have lots of little scratches maybe they didnt go through to paint or plastic? Try a cleaner/wax like meguiars and buff? Maybe even turtle wax's 'colored wax'?
Thanks for the help guys....I tried that turtle Wax colored wax....it didn't help much...I also tried "Black Wax" ...the car is black....It did better, but you can still easily see most of the scratches....I think the only option is going tobe to have it painted. Unless anyone else has another suggestion.
