I am not understanding the U cut out on the top of the picture, maybe its just been a while since I have taken the top off since my motor blew and I just forgot =P....

 

I thikn it would only loook good if you had the CF hood and truck to go with it. And most likely only look good on a black del sol

 

that "U" cut is for the other peice you see at the top left. looks like a compartment for sunglasses or something of the sort.

 

that u shape is cut out for the transtop delsol in europe and japan. the transtop was the electric targa which all work with a push of a button the trunk would raise up, the targa would pop up, pulled back into the hollow trunk lid, and close. those carbon tops are made in europe then sent to u.s. for sale. I read about it on hondavision.com

 

so would it fit fine on a USDM del sol? or no?

Propably not but dont quote me on that.

Also why not go with the sun roof style top? the panel is replaced with transparent something or anther thats smoked. That would be a better buy in my opinion.

well the targa should fit. you have to use the guts, handles etc, in the new piece. call and talk to them for sure since im not sure they keep the cabon targa in stock. the transparent targa is made by ameripol. they are discontinued and was like $650. check on http://www.solsociety.com and search ameripol. they are hard to find and sometimes have a group buy on them to get the maker to make a limited run. transparent on a daily car and parked outside will get a lot hotter since there isn't a sunshade. the carbon would look better to match the car...
