Default Is my compression 2 Low On my built motor ?

Im putting together my gsr turbo engine and i was woundering if you guys think my compression is to low . Im using ross 8-1 compression pistons 84 mm on a sleeved block . My engine builder said it should be around 8.6 -1 with the head on it . I figured i run this compression because im running a t-62 dual ball bearing 70 trim turbo at over 20 psi when im at the track and i want it to be able to withstand the high boost ..... what you guys think > Should i have went with 9-1 >?

Isn't that the lowest compression that will keep the igniting going? Or is it 7:1? You should be fine though just have it tuned well.

ur comp. ratio is totally fine, it may be a little sluggish until boost kicks in but it wont be bad. mine is 8.4:1 and it runs just fine. have fun and good luck.

You should be fine, although i would have went with slightly higher compression, just means more boost on pump gas safely. Paul
