Default Whoa! It's been a while... help me with good quality exhaust feedback!

My exhaust system is falling apart on my 94 GSR, so I've decided to go for it all and replace everything. I used to be more 'in the know' but I've been out of it for a little while so try to answer my stupid questions. I've searched, and found some stuff but sometimes I find conflicting answers.

This car is probably never going to get crazy, just like to have a little fun.. I buy parts either when stuff breaks or if I just want to. The exhaust broke so it's kind of like an excuse to buy the rest of the stuff too! Btw, what broke was the pipe right before the muffler. Rusted right through. Sounds like *** now..

So I was thinking:

Header. JDM 4-1. What's the deal with the DC JDM 4-1 I read about? Is this just a DC sports version of this? They're both stainless steel? What are the relative costs of each? Better bang for the buck? It's got a 2.5" collector right?

Cat. Car-sound 2.5" cat (that matches up with the header /if/ that's 2.5".. I don't want a test pipe.

Cat-back. I was thinking about the Apexi WS. I hear the N1 is too loud.. I want something quiet when I want it to be. But kinda loud but nice and not ricey/buzzy sounding when I get on it.. I also don't really like how the N1 is angled... this exhaust is about 2.3" though right? I can still make that fit on the cat with adapters and such.... is this going to be a big decrease in performance? What do you recommend I do?

Please! Post good solid replies.. as you can see I'm /not/ a newbie even though these may be newbie-ish questions. Thanks guys..

If I was you I would stay with all stainless parts, the alum, and ceremic tend to have a lot more longevity issues. Just get quality parts and you should be fine, JDM 4-1 is real nice with the 2.5 cat.

i have a full integra type r cat back exhaust system for you. It might take some modification, i heard around $40, to get the b-pipe to fit, but the muffler will bolt on. Get the mandrel bends and 2.25" piping that you want out of an exhaust, but keep the stock profile and get a little deeper sound, not too loud....perfect! e-mail me at greddyturbome@hotmail.com I have a full catback on my LS, it's GREAT!!
