do i need them or not??

Default do i need them or not??

im about to put on my kyb on, but im wondering if i really need my stock dust cover on my new shocks. they seem kinda old.

If you are not using a coil-over system that requires emilinating the stock dust covers, it doesn not hurt to have them in place as they will provide a cleaner environment for the shock rod and seal to live in. You can leave the dust covers off as most people wil coil-over sleeves systems do but you will have a bit less protectiong from road grit. Most folks never have a problem without them but it doesn't hurt to have them.
